2008 Schedule Information
2008 USGA Rule Changes
1. The Year is made up of Four Series - one for each season.
Exempt Tour Cards are now available with discounts for the year.
2. New Players can now enter 1 or 2 tournaments(in advance) at a reduced rate.
$395.00 for one and $750.00 for two. They then play for 1/2 the prize list.
The balance of the prize then goes toward the Points Championship Fund.
3 a) Range Finders, GPS systems, etc are allowed under a Local Rule
b) This is done within the 2006 USGA Rule Change

Congratulations - Joey Lamielle Qualifies for the U.S. Open Championship, June 12 - 15, at Torrey Pines G.C. Joey battled in a sudden death playoff, winning on the 9th hole.
- D A Points also Qualifies for the U.S. Open posting 139 in Lake Forest, Illinois
- Andrew Svoboda also selected after qualifying as first alternate!

Congratulations - Six IGTA Players Represented the USA at the World Caribbean Golf Challenge Finals, in the Dominican Republic!
Giuseppe Calderone won the Championship with 47 points!
Derek Arzoomanian was 3rd and David Sellers was 4th, played on the spectacular Pete Dye, Teeth of the Dog course.
Arzoomanian came in 1st and Dennis Rasku 2nd in the shoot-out on the brand new La Estancia course!
Don Wright, Luis Matos(DR) and Dave Vanco also played well. Unfortunately, WCGC point leaders Bill Currence, Ernie Couse and Carroll Carter could not make the trip. Many countries were represented, with Paraguay and Italy also taking home Awards.

Big Stakes News - Don Wright and partner Dave Schreyer Win their First Match in the $3,000,000 First Prize Big Stakes Event in Mesquite, Nevada. Down 1 after 15 they Birdied 16, 17 & 18.
David Ping and partner Garth Mulroy also won their First Match (4 and 3)! Don and David have both won on the IGTA Tour and are strong supporters. We wish them well, as it takes five more matches for the Title!
Day 2 - Don Wright and Dave Win their Second Match (2 and 1)! David Ping and Garth also win their Second Match (3 and 1)! Each Team Wins $100,000 and reaches the Top 16 with tomorrow's Match 3 worth another $100,000!
Day 3 - Good News, Bad News! Don and Dave are topped in their Third Match by 1 Hole! We congratulate them on a successful event, as they played Great golf with 3 tough opponents! David Ping and Garth win their Third Match (5 and 3) for another $100,000! As part of the Elite 8 tomorrow's Match 4 is worth $200,000! Play Well, guys!
Day 4 - Good News! David and Garth win their Fourth Match (3 and 2) for another $200,000 and Total of $400,000! They took control in the first four holes and then played steady golf on in! The Two Matches of the Final Four tomorrow are worth $275,000! Keep it Rolling, guys!
Day 5 - Great News! David and Garth win their Fifth Match (4 and 3) for another $275,000 and Total of $675,000! David's Eagle on 2 and Birdies on 3 & 5 helped lead the way to the win! Tomorrow is for the $3,000,000!

Day 6 - A Great Day! David and Garth Win First Place for $3,000,000! After being Down 2 after 5 they won Holes 6 & 7 and lost only one more hole on the way to the win (2 and 0)!
They lost only 10 Holes in the 6 Rounds and played No. 18 only the last day!
